Neeyat is an Agatha Christie style investigation thriller. Wherein a CBI officer Mira Rao (Vidya Balan) has to investigate a murder of a buisness Tycoon Ashish Kapoor (Ram Kapoor). Ashish got murdered on the birthday night. But who was the murderer?
What were the shocking events happen till the climax is all the film has to tell.
This movie Neeyat was really slow to start off with too many unnecessary characters which every Bollywood film need to give a massive explanation at the beginning. So pointless, just shows the lack of trust in the story and ability of actors. After the interval, things get a bit fast pace. But the makers lost this point. The worst aspect of the story, it isn’t original. The script is copied from so many other movies yet it was just a failed attempt.
The production value of this film NEEYAT was extremely poor and so was the the acting of the entire cast, particularly Vidya Balan and Rahul Bose. It was like watching a primary school play on the big screen.
Vidya Balan was a faint shadow of her normal brilliant self. The character of Rahul Bose was extremely weak and his acting was absolutely according to it. Everything about this movie was substandard.
This movie is a copy of three to four Hollywood movies including Knives Out, Death on the Nile and Murder Mystery”.
I know some people would criticise me over this review. But in my opinion, Neeyat is definitely not aworth watching in the cinema. This movies is a total waste in terms of money and time.
