The Boys (Review) – Tale To Counter Traditional Superheroes

The Boys is an American satirical superhit television series developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video. It is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
The series features an ensemble cast that includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell.

Wherever superheroes appear, they always seem helping humanity by eradicating evil in the world through their superpowers. They bring people out of difficult situations. But if these superheroes are the real root of evil, then what will humans do? Because humans cannot compete with their super powers. This is exactly happens in The Boys presents by Amazon Prime.

The Boys revolves around corrupt and power-hungry superheroes who seem to be well-wishers in the eyes of the world. They pretend to eliminate bad people from the world. But this is only a deception of appearance. These superheroes want to keep the world under their control by using their power to manipulate people. They make people believe that you have no one but us, and the common people also blindly believe their words.
But there are some people who hate superheroes and want to eliminate them from the world as soon as possible. They want to rid of these superheroes.

On one hand there is a team of seven superheroes with different powers. While on the other side there is a team of some ordinary people. Who will eliminate whom? watch The Boys to find answer of these questions.

Karl Urban plays Billy Butcher, who’s a seemingly intimidating, ruthless, cold-blooded vigilante. He will not rest until the last superhero is dead. But when you get to know him a little better, his hard face, with a combination of macho attitude will quickly charm you.
Antony Starr displays a tremendous amount of range as ‘Homelander’ in aThe Boys.

I find superhero stories very boring but I really like this series. Although there is a lot of gore but The Boys keeps you hooked. If you like superhero stories and can endure a lot of gore, then this series is for you.
